About the role#
The Platform Engineering team builds and supports the cloud infrastructure that powers our firm. In this role, you will assist in upgrading core platforms and collaborate with internal Tech Teams to handle technical requests. You will gain hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code while working alongside a dedicated manager and mentor.
What you'll do#
- Write and maintain Terraform or CrossPlane Claims for AWS infrastructure changes.
- Develop internal tools and automation scripts using Python and Bash.
- Support day-to-day operations across Kubernetes and EKS clusters.
- Manage GitOps deployments using ArgoCD.
- Investigate infrastructure issues, including networking, DNS, and service health, across AWS accounts.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Familiarity with Linux command-line environments.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts like DNS, TCP/IP, and HTTP.
- Experience with a scripting language such as Python or Bash.
- Curiosity and a willingness to explore unfamiliar systems.
- Hands-on AWS Cloud and networking experience from coursework, projects, or prior internships.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring or observability tools such as Datadog or Grafana.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in New York, New York.
- The program runs for 10 weeks during the Summer of 2027.
- This position is paid.
