About the role#
As a Structural Engineer Intern, you will join our Energy and Industrial Group. You will work alongside the Power Generation and Oil and Gas engineering teams. You will support projects involving new designs, modifications, and upgrades for power generation, oil and gas production, gas transmission, and carbon-capture efforts. You will work under the direction of senior engineers.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and data.
- Participate in system designs and prepare specifications for the procurement of major industrial energy equipment.
- Use data and modern tools to improve workflows and deliver cost-effective designs.
- Verify engineering results using strong engineering judgment.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A strong academic background in the behavior of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Capacity to identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

- Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour.
