About the role#
As a Structural Engineer Intern, you will join a project team to assist with the design of new electrical substations or upgrades to existing systems. You will work under the direction of engineers to support the execution of project work during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Review structural design drawings and vendor drawings.
- Support engineers and designers in the analysis of steel structures, connections, concrete members, platforms, and foundations.
- Apply your knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
- Use modern tools, automation, and AI to improve workflows and deliver cost-effective designs.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science program in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
- A strong academic background.
- Interest in the behavior of materials, structural analysis, and steel or concrete design.
- Strong PC skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
