    About the role#

    This internship position is based in Minneapolis for the summer of 2027. You will join the Nuclear Power Group to assist senior engineers with the design, modification, and upgrade of power plant systems. This role requires on-site work and involves a blend of electrical and mechanical engineering principles applied to nuclear plant functionality.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
    • Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and associated data.
    • Solve engineering problems using data, automation, and AI tools to improve workflows and design efficiency.
    • Work with electronic process sensors, digital controllers, and plant hardware such as pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.

    What you'll need#

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Strong academic background in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
    • Ability to use scripting or programming tools such as Python or MATLAB for automation and data transformation is valued.
