About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Englewood, Colorado. You will join a project team and assist senior engineers with work on power plant retrofits, new generation installations, renewable energy projects, and industrial facilities. This position is on-site.
What you'll do#
- Assist the engineering team with project execution.
- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Review electric power equipment documentation.
- Solve engineering problems using data, automation, and AI to improve workflows and design delivery.
- Build or use automation to create calculations, summarize technical documents, or draft design documentation.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering.
- A strong academic background with coursework in electrical power concepts and AC power systems analysis.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong PC skills.
- An understanding of the practical application of electrical engineering and technology.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Enrollment in an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program is preferred.
