About the role#
Sanofi is seeking a Co-op student to join the Immunology & Inflammation team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role is for the Winter 2027 term and requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. You will work on-site to contribute to research in immunobiology and the treatment of inflammatory autoimmune diseases.
What you'll do#
- Execute in vitro experiments that focus on immune pathways.
- Develop and optimize cell-based assays to evaluate immunomodulatory therapeutics.
- Analyze data from flow cytometry, ELISA, and other immunological readouts.
- Maintain cell cultures and prepare necessary laboratory reagents.
- Collect and analyze data for presentation at team meetings.
- Manage laboratory organization and maintain equipment.
- Collaborate with team members on research projects within a matrix environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Immunology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Graduation date planned for Spring 2029 or later.
- Ability to relocate to the office location.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Previous or current lab bench research experience in immunology or a related field.
- Experience with primary human immune cell isolation and culture.
- Familiarity with basic flow cytometry and data analysis.
- Knowledge of immune cell biology, including monocytes, B cells, and T cells.
- Strong academic background in cell biology, with preference for coursework in cellular immunology.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory skills like aseptic technique, mammalian cell culture, and protein analysis.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
