Junior Systems Administrator (Co-op)

About the role#

The Junior Systems Administrator (Co-op) supports S&C Electric Company’s operations by automating processes and providing technical support for both on-premises and cloud-based technologies. This role involves maintaining relations with external organizations to resolve technical issues and ensuring that system documentation remains accurate and up-to-date.

What you'll do#

• Respond to and prioritize technical support requests.
• Analyze support issues to determine root causes, resolutions, and potential trends.
• Collaborate with senior team members to automate software installations and technical processes.
• Provide guidance and recommendations on the effective use of technology.
• Install and maintain technical equipment and software.
• Prepare and maintain procedural, educational, and technical communications.
• Facilitate relationships with external organizations regarding software functionality and technical issues.

What you'll need#

• Successful completion of at least one year of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Successful completion of at least one prior co-op work term.
• Experience in a technical support role involving on-prem and cloud technologies, specifically Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, and Windows client/server operating systems.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of PowerShell and programming languages is highly desirable.

• Compensation: $22.40 - $28.60 per hour, based on year of study, academic program, and prior co-op experience.
