Desktop Support Analyst (Co-op)

About the role#

The Desktop Support Analyst (Co-op) provides technical support to S&C Electric Company operations. This role offers exposure to engineering design principles, manufacturing techniques, product testing, and project management. You will work within a safety-focused environment to support the reliability of the electrical grid.

What you'll do#

• Respond to and prioritize incoming requests for technical support.
• Analyze support issues to determine root causes, resolutions, and potential trends.
• Provide guidance on the effective use of technology and assist in the installation and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Facilitate communication with external organizations regarding software functionality and technical issues.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and follow established standard work practices.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving equipment up to 20lbs as required for daily operations.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
• Successful completion of at least one year of study.
• Availability for a full-time, 4-month co-op term from September to December 2026.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience in a technical support role involving client technology is preferred.

• Compensation: $22.40 - $28.60 per hour, based on year of study, academic program, and previous co-op experience.
