Associate Buyer (Co-op)

About the role#

The Associate Buyer (Co-op) is responsible for forecasting, analyzing, and managing the capacity of a product line. This role focuses on production line planning and troubleshooting within the Oracle ERP system to ensure continuous assembly operations. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Etobicoke, Ontario.

What you'll do#

• Coordinate scheduling and production planning for an assigned assembly line.
• Partner with production planners and schedulers to determine supply requirements and optimal assembly operations.
• Monitor inventory counts and recommend purchases based on production schedules and adjusted on-hand numbers.
• Act as a liaison between internal customers to communicate production schedule adjustments.
• Update and maintain item data in the Oracle ERP system to support production goals.
• Investigate product variations and supplier issues, collaborating with buyers to develop resolutions.
• Generate and issue weekly or monthly forecast reports.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Enrolled and eligible for a 4-month (Sept. 2026 – Dec. 2026) or 8-month (Sept. 2026 – Apr. 2027) co-op term.
• Strong proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for production planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication based on the audience.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

• Location: Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Term: Fall 2026 start (4 or 8 months).
• Compensation: $21.80 – $27.00 per hour, based on year of study, academic program, and prior co-op experience.
