Production Planner Assistant (Co-op)

About the role#

The Production Planner Assistant (Co-op) is responsible for planning, measuring, and monitoring the capacities of a specific product line. This role focuses on resolving planning issues, maintaining production flow, and utilizing ERP systems to ensure operational efficiency.

What you'll do#

• Coordinate scheduling and production planning for an assigned assembly line.
• Partner with production planners and schedulers to determine line needs, supply requirements, and optimal assembly schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend purchases based on adjusted production schedules.
• Act as a liaison between internal customers to communicate schedule changes and updates.
• Update and maintain item data in the Oracle ERP system to meet inventory and production goals.
• Investigate product variations and supplier issues, collaborating with buyers to develop resolutions.
• Generate and issue reports for weekly and monthly forecasts.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, adjusting communication based on the audience.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and ability to complete activities with accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently as part of a team.

Location & details#

• Location: Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Term: Fall 2026 (September – December 2026) or 8 months (September 2026 – April 2027).
• Compensation: Paid position ($21.80 – $27.00 per hour, depending on year of study and prior experience).
• Physical requirements: Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, and lift or move objects up to 20 lbs.
