About the role#
The Electronics Hardware team within our Technology and Breakthrough Innovation group develops hardware platforms for future products. You will work alongside experienced engineers to collaborate on projects that solve real-world problems. This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design, simulation, and troubleshooting of digital, analog, and power circuits.
- Perform product verification and validation testing.
- Conduct modeling and simulation of analog and digital circuits.
- Work cross-functionally to develop advanced electronic designs for the power industry.
- Learn the basics of electronics design, electrical power distribution, and how technology solves real-world problems.
- Enhance your existing skills and learn new ones through ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- An in-progress degree from an accredited program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related major.
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuits beyond the introductory level.
- Experience with general lab equipment such as an oscilloscope, function generator, and DMM.
- Knowledge of schematic capturing and modeling or simulation tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language, including MATLAB, is a plus.

- This position is located in Chicago, Illinois.
- This is an on-site, full-time role.
- The internship takes place during Summer 2027.
- The pay range for this position is $22 to $30 per hour based on experience.
