About the role#
The Associate Buyer is responsible for forecasting, analyzing, and managing the capacity of a product line. You will address issues related to production line planning and perform troubleshooting within the Oracle ERP system to ensure continuous production.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate scheduling and production planning for an assigned assembly line.
- Partner with production planners and schedulers to determine supply requirements and optimal scheduling.
- Monitor inventory counts and recommend purchases based on production schedules.
- Act as a liaison between internal customers to communicate schedule changes.
- Update and maintain item data in the Oracle ERP system.
- Investigate and address challenges related to product variations and supplier issues.
- Generate reports for weekly or monthly forecasts.
- Comply with all company policies and rules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary degree or diploma program in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Eligibility for a 4 or 8 month Co-op work term starting in Winter 2027.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

- Location: Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (4 or 8 months).
- Compensation: Paid position ($21.80 - $27.00 per hour).
