About the role#
S&B USA Construction & Fay offers a summer internship for students interested in heavy civil infrastructure. This role provides exposure to the construction process through meaningful tasks that support our project teams. You will work on projects including bridges, tunnels, and highways.
What you'll do#
- Perform quantity takeoffs from plan sets for earthwork, concrete, drainage, and other civil work items.
- Organize and assemble bid packages for heavy civil construction projects.
- Review project specifications and drawings to identify the scope of work.
- Solicit and log subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Analyze production rates for equipment and labor crews.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year in a Civil Engineering, General Engineering, or Construction Management degree program.
- Strong computer and communication skills.
