About the role#
The Alternative Risk Intern supports the Risk Control and Risk Management team in Chicago. You will assist with administrative duties and help oversee risk management activities to ensure operational compliance and safety.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to identify and mitigate organizational risks.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments to analyze current threats and identify potential future risks.
- Maintain a taxonomy of risk management activities and execute a technology operational risk education framework.
- Manage financial operations related to risk management.
- Act as the primary contact for technical groups that support collection systems.
- Provide training and support to project members on document control and system procedures.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business or Risk Management.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience supporting a Risk Control or Risk Management team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail.
- Proficiency in data management, risk reporting, and systematic filing.
- Familiarity with NIST standards.
