About the role#
Ryan Companies is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for our Mission Critical team. This role offers hands-on experience with commercial real estate projects in Phoenix. You will work 40 hours per week for a term of at least three months. We offer multiple windows for this position throughout 2027, including summer, winter, and fall terms.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team in completing assigned tasks.
- Learn construction industry processes and company business policies.
- Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor degree in construction engineering, management, or a closely related field.
- Within 18 months of graduation.
- Ability to work 40 hours a week for at least three months.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural or engineering drawings.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
