About the role#
Ryan Companies US, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for our team in Phoenix. This role focuses on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and business policies while supporting the project team on designated projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team with the completion of assigned projects.
- Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop an understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
- Perform mathematical calculations as needed for project tasks.
- Read and interpret contracts, specifications, and architectural and engineering drawings.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a construction-related field.
- Must be within 18 months of graduation.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.

- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour.
