As a Project Engineer Intern, you will support the project team in completing designated projects. This role focuses on gaining practical experience in construction industry processes, procedures, and business policies while working on-site in Phoenix, Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team with the completion of assigned projects.
- Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop an understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction engineering, management, or a closely related field (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration).
- Must be within 18 months of graduation.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural or engineering drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
