About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting through an eight-week or longer full-time program. Interns receive an orientation covering administrative and professional matters and are assigned a Career Advocate to help establish personalized goals. You will work as a full-time team member, gaining exposure to audit risk assessment, internal controls, and the firm’s accounting networks.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Conduct audit testing and procedures on selected key engagement areas.
- Gather and analyze industry and comparable company research from public documents.
- Prepare written reports covering company background, financial reviews, and economic outlooks.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior academic standing.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax course is preferred.
