About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting through a full-time, eight-week experience. Interns work as team members, receiving orientation on firm procedures and guidance from a dedicated Career Advocate to set professional goals. The role involves training on firm accounting and tax networks.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and firm staff.
- Perform audit testing and procedures on key engagement areas.
- Analyze internal controls and gain insight into the audit risk assessment process.
- Conduct industry and company research using public documents.
- Prepare reports covering company background, financial reviews, and industry outlooks.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status currently enrolled in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance programs.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze internal controls.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
