About the role#
The Entrepreneurial Services Group at RubinBrown LLP partners with business owners to help improve and grow their enterprises. This role involves working with a diverse range of clients, applying broad knowledge of business, accounting, and tax issues to support emerging entrepreneurial businesses.
What you'll do#
- Apply general accounting procedures across a range of services provided by the Entrepreneurial Services Group.
- Plan and execute day-to-day activities for small business engagements in accordance with firm standards.
- Review and format client documentation for financial statement and tax return preparation.
- Maintain client records, including general ledgers, on automated systems.
- Perform attest procedures, such as reviews and compilations of financial statements.
- Assist with income tax planning and the preparation of tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Prepare payroll tax reports, filings, 1099s, and W-2 forms.
- Identify and communicate accounting and tax matters to engagement team members.
- Establish direct working relationships with clients and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Actively working toward CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to utilize technology effectively and a commitment to learning in a digital environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to meet challenging client requirements and provide quality service.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities with a team-oriented mindset.
