About the role#
As a Technology Risk Consulting Intern, you will work with businesses across various industries including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and private equity. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with business owners and executive management. Each intern is assigned a performance advisor to assist with professional development throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Understand client needs, business processes, and company values.
- Assist in the design and optimization of controls using your knowledge of business processes, accounting, and information technology.
- Identify internal control deficiencies, evaluate risk, and advise clients on solutions.
- Create internal control documentation to support client engagements.
- Engage with client leadership to discuss strategies for anticipating emerging technology risks.
- Participate in projects such as SOX compliance, SOC reporting, IT controls testing, and internal audits over ERP and security systems.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Pursuit of certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CIA is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- The role is on-site. Travel to client locations may be required, and you must have access to reliable transportation.
