About the role#
The Feed Mill Intern will gain hands-on experience in feed manufacturing, quality control, and safety procedures. You will work at our mill in Wilton, Iowa, supporting the daily production and delivery of feed products. This role provides exposure to inventory management, equipment operation, and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily mill operations, including ingredient handling and feed production.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Collect and prepare feed samples for quality assurance testing.
- Support inventory management by tracking raw materials and finished feed.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the mill to meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Observe and follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Document production data and assist with reporting.
- Collaborate with mill operators and managers on process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Agriculture, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Commitment to following all safety protocols and company policies.
