About the role#
The Accounting Intern works with the Accounting Manager and Procurement Director on daily finance tasks. You will gain experience in transactional accounting, month-end processes, and financial analysis. This role involves working across teams including marketing and operations to support business functions.
What you'll do#
- Process daily accounting transactions such as sales, refunds, and journal entries.
- Reconcile daily cash for all locations, including ACH, debit transactions, checks, and cash transfers.
- Prepare and enter invoices, expense reports, and month-end accruals.
- Assist with month-end close activities and documentation.
- Provide administrative and analytical support for procurement projects.
- Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox.
- Help with ad hoc financial analysis and data gathering.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
