About the role#
Ricoh is seeking a Software Development Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time position is based on-site in Boulder, Colorado. You will join a team focused on developing software solutions and integrating artificial intelligence into business applications.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement systems that interface with large language models.
- Develop, refine, and optimize prompts for effective model interactions.
- Assist in adapting and evaluating foundation models and AI services.
- Create and test AI-powered capabilities using Python and modern frameworks.
- Build frameworks to validate and ensure the robustness of AI features.
- Collaborate with core engineering to move prototypes into production.
- Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies.
- Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and user-facing applications.
- Participate in testing, observability, and performance analysis.
- Support responsible AI practices, including safety and security monitoring.
- Contribute to cloud-based application development and deployment.
- Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and team brainstorming sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Math, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
- Prior work or internship experience.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Python, web development frameworks (such as React, Angular, or Flask/Django), and SQL databases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Successful completion of all required screenings prior to hire.
