About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team at the Carrington, North Dakota durum milling and pasta production facility. You will support the engineering department by working on equipment design, drafting, and project implementation.
What you'll do#
- Draft equipment and part designs and assist with the implementation of these components.
- Create component dimensional drawings and concept drawings using 2D AutoCAD software.
- Update facility layout drawings.
- Document equipment to improve fabrication resources.
- Work with operations, maintenance, and management teams to complete projects.
- Learn food safety and manufacturing practices.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 6 semesters in an accredited Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with 2D AutoCAD is preferred.
- Previous engineering internship experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Carrington, North Dakota.
- You must be able to stand, walk, or sit for 6 hours per day.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 34 pounds, use fine motor skills, and work in a dusty environment for several hours per day.
- You will need to perform tasks such as bending, climbing ladders, and reaching above your shoulders.
