Purdue University Sales and Marketing Intern

About the role#

Renewal by Andersen is seeking a part-time Sales and Marketing Intern to join the Central Indiana team as a Brand Ambassador. This role provides hands-on training in lead generation, outbound sales, and event marketing. Interns participate in monthly professional development workshops, meetings with executive leadership, and conclude the program by delivering a final project presentation. This position offers an hourly rate of $18, performance-based uncapped weekly bonuses, mileage reimbursement, and the potential for internship credit.

What you'll do#

• Engage with homeowners at retail stores, tradeshows, and community events to build rapport and uncover customer needs.
• Educate potential customers on window and door solutions and market products to a diverse audience.
• Generate high-quality sales leads and schedule in-home consultations for the sales team.
• Use persuasion and communication skills to encourage homeowners to take the next step in the sales process.
• Attend monthly professional development meetings and present a final project to leadership.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a degree program, with a preference for Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration majors.
• Natural sales ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A growth mindset, resilience, and the ability to handle rejection while pursuing goals.
• High levels of professionalism, reliability, and coachability.
• A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation to travel to various retail locations and events.
