About the role#
Rendezvous Robotics builds modular spacecraft components that assemble in orbit. We are looking for an intern to join our manufacturing and test engineering team in Golden, Colorado. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and own testbeds for power, docking, and communication subsystems.
- Support the manufacturing of spacecraft tiles by creating work procedures and identifying process improvements.
- Build and refine fixtures and test jigs to ensure repeatable hardware verification.
- Track manufacturing defects and share findings with the design team.
- Build out test data pipelines to ensure results are captured consistently across builds.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with hand tools, basic soldering, and hardware assembly.
- Attention to detail and comfort following written test procedures.
- Familiarity with battery pack assembly or handling lithium-ion cells.
- Experience with environmental test equipment like thermal chambers or vibration tables.
- Background in test automation or data logging using tools like Python or LabVIEW.
- Experience in quality or manufacturing processes.
- To meet U.S. Government export regulations, you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
