About the role#
Rendezvous Robotics is developing electromagnetic self-assembling tiles to enable the construction of large-scale spacecraft. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and testing of avionics hardware for modular spacecraft components. This is a full-time, paid position based in Golden, Colorado, for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and review of power electronics, including battery management and protection circuits.
- Work on PCB design for onboard electronics.
- Analyze cross-domain fault behavior and edge cases within the power system.
- Support power distribution and bus architecture work across internal interfaces.
- Assist with the bring-up and debug of avionics hardware on the bench.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Coursework or project experience in power electronics or analog and digital circuit design.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools such as KiCad or Altium.
- Experience debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment.
- Preferred experience includes work with gate drivers, DC-DC converters, battery management systems, isolated sensing or power architectures, and embedded firmware for hardware bring-up.
- Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
