About the role#
REDCOM Laboratories, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineering Co-Op to join our development team for the Sigma software platform. You will work alongside full-time engineers on real projects and assignments. This role is a full-time, paid position covering the Summer and Fall 2026 terms. We prefer students who can commit to a double-block duration.
What you'll do#
- Develop and support applications that provide secure real-time voice, video, and chat communication.
- Create and port applications and device drivers for secure real-time communications, including VoIP and RoIP.
- Participate in Agile and Scrum software development processes.
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration tasks.
- Use C++ as your primary language, with other scripting languages as needed.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a BS or MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Unix or Linux environments.
- Experience with C++ and an understanding of modern object-oriented design.
- Basic knowledge of IP and networking.
- Familiarity with version control systems like git and computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms is helpful.

- Location: Victor, New York.
- Modality: Hybrid (in office as required by job duties).
- Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on a 40-hour work week.
