About the role#
The Tech Sales Intern role supports our sales organization by helping implement account strategies and driving the adoption of our technology. You will join us in May 2027 as part of the Red Hat Intern Program. This position offers professional development, networking opportunities, and project work under the guidance of experienced mentors.
What you'll do#
- Support business initiatives by working closely with program management teams.
- Assist with project management, including tracking progress, scheduling meetings, and handling documentation.
- Gather and document business requirements by engaging with stakeholders.
- Analyze data to identify business trends and propose improvements to our go-to-market strategy.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to share your findings.
- Help execute sales skill development programs.
- Work on initiatives to improve sales metrics like discounting performance and customer references.
- Collaborate with Sales, Tech Sales, and Services teams to find areas for business improvement.
- Build your professional network with other interns and staff across the company.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science or Data Science.
- Interest in open source technology and a career in the tech industry.
- Curiosity and a desire to understand how things work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work both in-person at a Red Hat office and remotely.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools like Excel or Tableau is a plus.
- You must have the ability to work without current or future visa sponsorship.
