About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work with a senior mentor to build technical skills and gain experience in your field. You will join a cohort of interns and contribute to projects within Global Engineering. This program includes learning opportunities covering technologies like Ansible, RHEL, OpenShift, and AI. You will work in an environment that values different perspectives and encourages you to explore new ideas.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain code using Python, Golang, or similar languages.
- Add new features to Red Hat products and debug, identify, and track issues.
- Collaborate with team members, including Quality Engineering, Product Management, and Documentation teams.
- Network with other interns and participate in professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Basic knowledge of and passion for software engineering.
- Willingness to use Python, Golang, or similar programming languages.
- Curiosity and a desire to create new things or examine how systems work internally.
- Ability to work proactively as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

- Locations: Raleigh, NC; Durham, NC; Boston, MA; or Lowell, MA.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
