Access Your Future Service Intern

About the role#

The Access Your Future Service Intern program provides a career path for students pursuing a career as a Service Technician. This program offers paid internship employment, educational support, and financial incentives while you complete your technical education. Interns receive company-paid tools based on educational requirements, as well as a graduation sign-on bonus and post-graduation financial incentives upon transitioning to full-time employment with RDO Equipment Co.

What you'll do#

• Partner with a mentor to diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment.
• Document machine information and repairs on work orders, including tracking parts and fluids used.
• Maintain a clean work area and care for shop tools, machines, and equipment.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies as specified in manuals and the employee handbook.
• Participate in company-sponsored training to develop your technical skill set.
• Engage in location-driven communication efforts, such as department meetings and huddles.
• Present a professional image when interacting with customers and the community.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or attendance at an approved Heavy Equipment Service, Diesel Technology, or other technical service program approved by RDO Equipment Co.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to maintain an acceptable attendance record during your program.
• Strong mechanical, organizational, and computer skills.
• Proficiency with trade-specific tooling, including hand and pneumatic tools.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Ability to provide transcripts and diploma documentation to receive financial incentives.

• Schedule: Rolling (Summers, school breaks, and after-class hours)
• Compensation: $18 – $21 per hour
