About the role#
The Access Your Future Service Internship provides hands-on experience for students pursuing a career as a heavy equipment technician. You will work alongside experienced mentors to transition classroom knowledge into practical shop skills. This is a paid, full-time, rolling internship based on-site.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Assist the team with diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Document machine details, parts used, and repair work on service orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure professional standards.
- Collaborate with skilled mentors to learn repair and assembly processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an approved Heavy Equipment Service, Diesel Technology, or technical service program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Practical experience using mechanical tools.
- Strong computer skills for documentation and service tasks.
- Valid work authorization for the United States (sponsorship is not available).
Location & details#
- Location: New Braunfels, Texas.
- Schedule: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $20 to $23 per hour.
