About the role#
The Access Your Future Service Internship at RDO Equipment Co. provides hands-on experience for students pursuing a career as a heavy equipment technician. This paid, full-time position allows interns to transition classroom knowledge into practical shop skills while working alongside experienced mentors in the machinery manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Assist skilled technicians with diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Document machine details, parts, and fluids used on service orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
- Collaborate with mentors to learn reconditioning, assembly, and servicing procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an approved Heavy Equipment Service, Diesel Technology, or technical service program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Experience using mechanical tools.
- Strong computer skills for documentation and service tasks.
- Valid work authorization for the United States (sponsorship is not available).
