About the role#
This Systems Engineering Coop position supports the development of aircraft mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems. You will work on integration and testing, communication, networking, and requirements decomposition for cargo systems. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Jamestown, North Dakota.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical trade studies and requirements allocation.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Review and update documentation.
- Test recent engineering releases and document problem reports.
- Provide status updates on testing progress and suggest resolutions for issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware and software designers, test engineers, supply chain, production, quality, field service, and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Industrial Engineering (specifically human factors).
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the co-op.
- Status as a U.S. Person.
- Prior engineering internship or co-op experience.
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent modeling software.
- Proficiency in software programming and lab work.
