About the role#
This Systems Engineer Intern position is based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. You will join a team focused on systems engineering and test capabilities, working across the full product lifecycle. This role involves direct collaboration with engineers to integrate hardware and software, verify system requirements, and ensure performance standards are met in both lab and field settings. You will gain exposure to diverse aspects of system development while supporting integration, flight-testing, and production efforts.
What you'll do#
- Integrate hardware and software systems and evaluate their functions.
- Develop test plans and procedures to verify system requirements.
- Exercise systems in lab or field environments and measure performance.
- Support troubleshooting, failure data analysis, and root cause processes.
- Conduct functional analysis of test data and perform trade studies.
- Maintain engineering specifications, drawings, and databases.
- Prepare and present results through reports and briefings.
- Participate in team meetings and working groups.
- Assist with sustainment, depot returns, and product qualification.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in a STEM major with at least 60 credit hours completed by the start date.
- Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues using equipment like oscilloscopes or spectrum analyzers.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, or software system integration.
- Familiarity with C, C++, or C#.
- Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communication protocols.
- Exposure to military platforms such as ships, ground combat systems, or aircraft is a plus.
