About the role#
This Systems Engineer internship offers the opportunity to work on avionics display solutions. You will join a team of systems, software, and hardware engineers to support the development of reliable and safe aerospace technology. This is a full-time, paid position available for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create avionics display solutions.
- Develop and run system-level operational tests for Avionics Display Systems.
- Write software tools to support system integration, verification, and validation.
- Gain experience in the system development lifecycle, including requirements capture and system modeling.
- Apply industry standards such as ARINC 661, ARINC 664, and ARP-4754.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Active enrollment in your degree program through the end of the internship.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience with at least one programming or scripting language.
- Ability to work on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- Immigration sponsorship is available for this role if needed.
