About the role#
This Systems Integration Engineering Co-op position at Raytheon Technologies involves working on complex aerospace and defense systems. This is a full-time, paid role based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will work on-site throughout the Winter or Summer 2027 terms. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Design, test, and deploy software builds into real systems.
- Troubleshoot networking and system configurations, including UDP/IP and XML.
- Use Linux and Python to manage and interact with systems.
- Provide customer support through demonstrations and user guides.
- Learn about 4th and 5th generation aircraft interfaces and the integration of tactical solutions.
- Assist with the deployment of airborne and ground-based equipment.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Active enrollment status through the completion of the co-op session.
- Experience using Python or a similar programming language.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong listening and comprehension skills.
- The ability to multi-task and balance competing demands.
