About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Jamestown, North Dakota. You will work directly with Manufacturing Engineers to support cargo system production and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Develop manufacturing plans for cargo system details and assemblies, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
- Create Illustrated Standard Work Combination Sheets for assembly processes.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve process problems.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement events focused on production flow, cycle time, EHS, 5S, and point-of-use efficiency.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with assigned special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship.
- Basic experience with MS Office and CAD software.
- Relevant experience gained through coursework, research, projects, or on-the-job training.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as NX, Catia, AutoCAD, or CREO is preferred.
- Experience with programming languages like C++ or Python is a plus.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred.
