About the role#
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineering Co-op to join the team in Wilsonville, Oregon. This full-time position supports the development of Head-Up Guidance Systems, Enhanced Vision Systems, and various display products for military and commercial aviation markets. You will gain hands-on experience in product development, system certification, and technical planning while working on projects that improve flight deck safety and situational awareness.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test aerospace display products and guidance systems.
- Perform system analysis across all stages, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, and maintenance.
- Conduct technical planning, system integration, and verification and validation tasks.
- Manage configuration processes, functional analysis, and timeline studies.
- Perform trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate needs into hardware and software specifications.
- Identify and resolve technical problems that may cause project delays or budget issues.
- Evaluate alternatives regarding cost, risk, and supportability.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Enrollment must continue through the completion of the internship or co-op session.
- Foundational knowledge of aircraft or electronic systems.
- Preferred experience includes avionics knowledge, a Private Pilot License, and familiarity with systems engineering processes.
- Preferred knowledge of industry standards such as ARP4754A, DO-178B/C, DO-254, and DO-160G.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
