About the role#
The Capital Markets Summer Analyst program offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a specific industry or product-focused team. Analysts work on a variety of financial products, including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory. You will contribute to projects with significant scope, enhancing your financial analysis skills and developing a deep understanding of capital markets.
What you'll do#
- Develop financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives.
- Perform valuation methodologies, comparative company analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Provide input to equity offerings, valuations, private placements, and mergers and acquisitions advisories.
- Research, analyze, present, and document drafting elements of transactions.
- Collaborate with Senior Bankers to develop strategies for client presentations and create unique materials.
- Analyze current events in industry groups to provide input on critical issues.
- Maintain group databases and perform other duties requiring independent judgment.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without the need for sponsorship.
- Knowledge of fundamental investment banking, securities industry, tax, and accounting concepts.
- Understanding of financial markets and products.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to think independently, identify trends, and develop ideas.
- Proficiency in using technology to produce reports and presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, attend to detail, and maintain a big picture orientation.
- Uncompromising adherence to ethical principles and the ability to work proactively.
