About the role#
This is a student opportunity within our Sales department. You will lead a business optimization project that addresses a real business need. You will gain exposure to retail program analysis, margin modeling, and executive-level presentations. This role is open to co-op students, interns, practicum students, and recent graduates. Placements are flexible and can be structured to meet your school requirements for 4, 8, or 12-month terms.
What you'll do#
- Audit and categorize SKU performance across a retail program.
- Build a contribution margin model to assess SKU-level profitability.
- Identify and surface hidden costs not currently reflected in pricing.
- Present rationalization recommendations backed by your analysis.
- Lead a business optimization project from initial audit to final recommendations.
- Deliver a project charter, mid-term reviews, and a final analysis report.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Comfort working in Excel.
- Ability to structure and interpret data to support actionable recommendations.
- Curiosity and the initiative to see a problem through to a solution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a project independently while meeting milestones.

- Compensation: $18.25 to $22.00 per hour.
