    About the role#

    This internship involves analyzing complex, non-traditional systems to identify vulnerabilities. You will work on understanding how systems operate, why they function as they do, and how they might fail. This role requires analytical thinking and a broad knowledge of engineering and computing disciplines.

    What you'll do#

    • Use static and dynamic analysis tools to perform reverse engineering and vulnerability assessments.
    • Examine software to find both known and new vulnerabilities.
    • Reverse engineer software to determine the impact of vulnerabilities on system operations.
    • Build custom static and dynamic analysis tools for automated analysis.
    • Develop tools to analyze and inject datalink messages and other communication protocols.
    • Document all identified vulnerabilities and their impacts in detail.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
    • US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Experience with the analysis, reverse engineering, and vulnerability assessment of software, hardware, or communications.
    • Preferred: A Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
    • Preferred: Experience with C, C++, or Python.
    • Preferred: Experience with tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, Kali, OllyDbg, and Wireshark.
    • Preferred: Familiarity with Radar systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Fusion.
    • Preferred: Experience with weapon system design, DoD contracting, or an active TS/SCI clearance.
