About the role#
Radiance Technologies is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern for the summer 2027 term. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Huntsville, Alabama.
What you'll do#
You will work alongside our engineering staff to maintain and operate high energy laser test instrumentation. Your work also involves supporting projects to enhance and operate a directed energy system integration laboratory.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program or a relevant technical field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.3 (please include this on your resume).
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Proficiency with MATLAB, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
- Lab and design experience gained from coursework or personal projects.
- Basic fabrication skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a project group.
- A self-starter attitude.

This role is located in Huntsville, AL. It is a paid, part-time internship for the summer of 2027. We do not provide sponsorship for this position.
