Quantiphi is seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Intern to serve as the first point of contact for technical support. This role involves ensuring a seamless experience for end users by managing hardware, software, and network systems. You will gain hands-on experience in a technology-driven environment while developing your troubleshooting and communication skills.
What you'll do#
- Provide timely support by addressing user tickets related to hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Assist users with installing applications, configuring systems, and setting up peripherals such as printers and scanners.
- Diagnose technical issues by asking targeted questions to identify root causes and guide users through solutions with clear, step-by-step instructions.
- Perform remote troubleshooting and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Customize and configure desktop applications based on user requirements.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and processes in internal systems, and contribute to the creation of user guides.
- Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of facility systems, equipment, and office spaces.
- Support facility inspections, track maintenance requests, work orders, and asset records.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities and assist in implementing workplace safety and compliance requirements.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 1–2 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or a similar role (including internships or co-ops).
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and/or Mac OS environments.
- Basic understanding of network security practices and antivirus tools.
- Working knowledge of office productivity tools and computer peripherals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues remotely and explain solutions clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- A customer-first mindset with a proactive and positive attitude.
