    About the role#

    The Qnity Operator Internship Program provides students with hands-on experience and industry exposure within the semiconductor manufacturing sector. This paid, full-time internship is designed for students currently enrolled in technical associate or chemical operator certificate programs. Interns will work between 128 and 200 hours over a 10-week period, with schedules coordinated around academic requirements. Weekends and holidays are off.

    What you'll do#

    • Monitor and operate complex processes, equipment, and facilities.
    • Safely manufacture, troubleshoot, and make corrections to products following established procedures to ensure quality and production requirements are met.
    • Collect and analyze samples to verify that products meet specifications.
    • Operate production machinery, including nips, rollers, and lathes.
    • Perform product quality inspections using testing equipment and escalate any abnormalities.
    • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and drive continuous improvements that deliver business value.
    • Participate in area performance excellence through active engagement in shift turnover meetings, problem-solving sessions, and training events.
    • Follow team standards for housekeeping, preventative maintenance, and production schedules.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be enrolled in a technical associate or chemical operator certificate program at the time of the internship.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Prior work experience in an industrial environment, such as manufacturing or warehousing, is preferred.
    • Strong creative problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to speak and write in professional language.
    • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and accurate data entry.
    • Ability to operate mobile equipment, manufacturing machinery, and basic hand tools.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and ladders, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to work in environments with varying temperature and humidity and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
