About the role#
The Qnity Operator Internship Program provides students with hands-on experience and industry exposure within semiconductor manufacturing. This paid, full-time internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a technical associate or chemical operator certificate program. The program spans 10 weeks, requiring between 128 and 200 hours of work, with schedules coordinated around your academic curriculum.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and operate complex processes, equipment, and facilities.
- Safely manufacture, troubleshoot, and make corrections to products according to established procedures.
- Collect and analyze samples to verify that products meet quality requirements.
- Operate production machinery, including nips, rollers, and lathes, and perform quality inspections using testing equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and drive continuous improvements in area performance.
- Adhere to company policies, including the Code of Conduct and values of customer focus, innovation, speed, and people.
- Maintain accurate data entry in IT systems and follow housekeeping and preventative maintenance standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a technical associate or chemical operator certificate program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior work experience in an industrial environment, such as manufacturing or warehousing, is preferred.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to speak and write in a professional manner.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and the ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
