About the role#
As a Tax Intern, you will work within our tax practice to support teams in delivering tax services. You will focus on learning our methodologies, participating in projects, and performing tasks that contribute to team success. This role offers exposure to tax consulting, where you will observe professional work environments and build your skills through project work.
What you'll do#
- Support tax teams in delivering tax advice and planning strategies.
- Participate in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
- Analyze complex tax regulations to help optimize tax positions.
- Engage in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance.
- Conduct tax research to support consulting projects.
- Collaborate with team members to develop tax models and structures.
- Contribute to the preparation of tax provisions and audits.
- Observe and learn from experienced tax professionals.
- Apply data analytics to identify opportunities for tax optimization.
- Support the development of regulatory compliance consulting strategies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA (a 3.5 GPA is preferred).
- Completion of educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment before starting full-time.
- Typically in the third year of a four-year degree program or the fourth year of a five-year program.
- Experience leveraging AI to create efficiencies.
- Intellectual curiosity in tax research and planning.
- Experience in international tax planning, multistate tax compliance, and partnership tax initiatives.
- Experience utilizing data analytics and participating in corporate tax consulting.
