About the role#
As a Tax Intern, you will work within the tax consulting practice to support teams in delivering tax services. You will focus on learning firm methodologies, participating in project tasks, and observing professional work environments to build your skills. This role involves analyzing tax regulations, gathering information, and identifying patterns to support client strategies.
What you'll do#
- Support tax teams in delivering advice and planning strategies.
- Participate in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
- Analyze tax regulations to optimize tax positions and minimize risks.
- Engage in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance activities.
- Conduct tax research to support consulting projects.
- Collaborate with team members to develop tax models and structures for clients.
- Contribute to the preparation of tax provisions and audits.
- Observe and learn from experienced tax professionals.
- Apply data analytics to identify opportunities for tax optimization.
- Support the development of regulatory compliance consulting strategies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA (3.5 GPA preferred).
- Ability to meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time.
- Experience or interest in international tax planning, data analytics, corporate tax consulting, and multistate tax compliance.
- Intellectual curiosity in tax research and planning.
- Ability to leverage AI to create efficiencies.
