About the role#
As a CMAAS intern, you will work with teams to provide advice on complex accounting standards and financial transactions. You will support clients as they navigate capital markets and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on gaining exposure to our advisory practice, supporting team projects, and developing your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Support teams in the execution of capital markets transactions and financial reporting.
- Participate in the preparation of carve-out financial statements and merger accounting.
- Assist in the analysis of deal structures and organization restructuring efforts.
- Contribute to the preparation of regulatory reporting and revenue recognition documentation.
- Learn and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in financial accounting tasks.
- Observe and assist in the preparation for Initial Public Offerings (IPO) and private equity transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to provide accounting advisory services to clients.
- Gather and analyze market data to support financial decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- You must meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time employment.
- Candidates are typically in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or the 4th year of a 5-year program.
- Preferred cumulative and major GPA of 3.3.

- Compensation: $29.25 - $48.00 per hour.
