About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will join our Assurance practice to gain hands-on experience with financial statement audits. You will work alongside audit teams to help clients maintain transparency and meet regulatory requirements. This role is designed to help you build a foundation in audit practices while you observe and participate in professional client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams during financial statement audits.
- Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to spot trends.
- Document audit processes and findings to keep records organized.
- Evaluate internal controls and suggest areas for improvement.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- You must be in your third year of a four-year program or your fourth year of a five-year program when you apply.
- You must meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time employment.
