About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will join our Assurance practice to gain hands-on experience with financial statement audits. You will work alongside experienced auditors to observe professional methodologies and contribute to client support initiatives. This role is designed to build your foundational understanding of audit practices, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits.
- Review and verify financial documents to uphold transparency and compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends.
- Document audit processes and findings to maintain consistent records.
- Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Eligibility to meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time employment.
- Typically, you should be in the third year of a four-year degree or the fourth year of a five-year program.
